Great shots Dan. Love the perspective. Looks like I need to make a trip to Herman park sometime. Good work.

Strangely enough I was just thinking about going there before I saw this post. I missed out last year and certainly would like to go and hopefully get a wood duck. Did you see any yet?

I've been wanting to go over there for years and do some shooting...these have inspired me all over again...I may slip over there tomorrow and mess around.

Duck Season Day 2 - 12-01-2010, 10:56 PM

I'm also looking for some wood duck shots... 2nd evening out in Herman Park and still none, just the same usual targets and the ring-necked ducks... Still early I think... Picked up some shots of the female this time...

The park has been fixed up in the last few years... If you haven't been in awhile, it's really worth a trip...

The Texas Mouse can also be seen swimming in the ponds... Largest one I've ever seen...

Click on the images below for more of the same...

If you take a bath in OFF before going to Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge, the ducks are a blast to shoot...

Very cool! I've been looking for some ducks, so thanks for the locations.

Love the Shoveler shot with all the drops. Very cool!!! Beautiful background on the BWT.
