The year is almost over so let's have a little fun. Post the best photo that you took in 2010. The photo you are most proud of. It would be ideal to include a brief description about the shot. (equipment used, settings, location and whst you like about it)

Please post 1 photo only!

Got to be one of my favorites because I searched over a year to get it. Taken with Nikon 300mm 1.7tc @ Quintana Beach.

Does it count if it was taken Christmas Day last year? It was taken with my Canon D10 waterproof P&S. It is my FAVE that I have taken EVER.

I will play. This was done in a studio in Houston with a Leica M9, 50 summilux pre-asp, ISO 200, 1/125, f-stop (don't remember). Tri

Thanks for starting this thread Lonnie. I look forward to seeing your fave shot and everyone else's.

Sweet shot Sandy! Tri, That is an awesome shot - love the curved lines throughout. Rena, I remember when you posted that earlier. I love that shot and the story it tells.

This is my favorite of the year. It might not be technically great and even though the wolf is captive (Calgary Zoo), it is the only Grey Wolf I will likely ever photograph. They have a really nice enclosure for the wolves so you can get photos that look somewhat natural.

Shot with a Canon 1D Mark IV, 24 - 105mm f/4L IS lens, ISO 250, f/4, 1/320s, No flash, handheld.

I really like that snow shot, Rena. Were you in Dallas for that shot? Beautiful shots Sandy and Tri. Love that grey wolf, Patty.

I think this whistling duck shot may be my best wildlife shot for the year. I went to Nelson Park with my 100-400 to unwind from some stress, and I noticed this one duck on the pond was different from the rest. The light was favorably placed.

Good idea Lonnie and great shots everyone. This is a challenge since I have a few that I like from this year. Not sure that this is my "best" shot but it's one of my favorites. Taken at Brazos Bend State Park while sitting on the bank of 40 acre lake with my 100-400 lens on a tripod. I like this one as I had very little time to react to the YCNH flying by me with the crawfish and captured it full frame with his head being sharp and the wings blurred.

So hard to choose. Selected this one because it took 3 years to get. These butterflies always seem to land with their wings shut and no matter how long I chased them around, I could never seem to get them with their wings open for a picture.

I took this pic back in April of 2010. These Reddish Egrets dance while fishing and are a lot of fun to watch!

These two bison were mixing up during sunset and kicking up enough dust to make it interesting...

This was shot out of a car window as we passed by in Jackson, Wyoming near the Grand Tetons in September.

Stats: Nikon D3S, 200-400mm VR - 1/1600 at f/5
