...then it must be a duck. These were taken at Brazoria NWR over the past few weeks. I've found that it's easier to get closer to the ducks at Brazoria than San Bernard NWR.

Great shots Tim! Really nice job capturing the action in the take offs. The duck in the first shot looks like something out of a cartoon. I guess I need to try Brazoria - like you say, these guys don't seem to like anyone within 50 yards of them at SBNWR. All I've gotten from them are mostly rearend shots as they are swimming away - its nice to see what the other end looks like!

Great shoveler images. Am I seeing fine hairs inside the beak of that male shoveler in the first picture? Such detail! Wow!

Interesting action shots. Are those teeth in the first one. When I went everytime they would start to get close another fast moving car would come along and scare them back. I prefer a weekday. Great detail and clarity. Sure like the water droplet on the last one and the take off the next to last. Great Job!

Another fine series. The duckiness of these perps is undeniable.

Thanks Patrick. More ducks than anything at Brazoria. Not many geese within range like San Bernard.

The ponds should be full now after last night's rain. Great series, Tim.
