I finally went back to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens to see if I can get some bird shots. I went there last spring and checked the bird blind, but it was bird-less. Now it is being regularly tended and is attracting some bird photo opportunities. Nothing rare, but good opportunities are good opportunities -
This Inca Dove was showing his colors -
Northern Mockingbird showing his lack thereof -
Orange-crowned Warbler......getting some more orange for his crown??
The Ring-necked Ducks on the pond couldn't be bothered even looking at me -
I think this Downy Woodpecker was acting out a rude suggestion to me??
The bird blind was very active so if you are looking for a chance to shoot some birds in SATX, the botanical gardens aren't a bad start.
