Galveston State Park Area - 02-06-2011, 11:50 AM

Tried finding the Fork-tailed Flycatcher in Galveston State Park, however it appears that she has moved on. I haven't spend much time in the area, so I decided to spend the day scouting which lead me to finally finding Lafitte's Cove Nature Preserve. Also ran into local bird photog Mike Argo which help out with some additional hotspots.

The shrike and ruby-crowned are great - very sharp and well composed! To bad you did not get to see and photograph the Forked-tailed Flycatcher.

Nice! I was wondering if the Hummers were in yet... I saw a Bluebird pair in my yard this morning...

Very nice series Dan...great detail and focus...too bad that the Fork-tailed Flycatcher is gone...was really hoping that it would hang around for an opportunity to see it...thanks for the update...

Great set Dan. I am surprised about the hummer. I thought they were all gone. I like them all but #1 is special.
