Tried finding the Fork-tailed Flycatcher in Galveston State Park, however it appears that she has moved on. I haven't spend much time in the area, so I decided to spend the day scouting which lead me to finally finding Lafitte's Cove Nature Preserve. Also ran into local bird photog Mike Argo which help out with some additional hotspots. Dan More on my blog My Bird Photostream Not exacly a fork-tailed, but the next best thing... The shrike and ruby-crowned are great - very sharp and well composed! To bad you did not get to see and photograph the Forked-tailed Flycatcher. Scott |
