First Weekend With The Canon 800mm Lens - 02-06-2011, 11:14 PM

Male Anhinga Preening - Everglades Workshop

Just got home from my second workshop at the Everglades (One more to go) and I could not wait to take the Canon 800mm lens for a spin. This one is one of the first images created using the lens.

I like the feeling of the pose here.

Hope you like it.

Canon 5D MKII, 800mm L @ f/5.6, 1/650 sec, ISO 800, 580 EXII with Better Beamer, Manual exposure, Feisol carbon tripod, full frame.

Thanks!

Congrats on the new lens but I am not seeing the detail that I have come to expect from your photos. What do you think?

Haha! I want a studio that is big enough to make an 800mm lens practical
