Very nice David. I particularly like #2 & 4. The background in #2 makes the flowers really pop.

I like #2. That background really lets the flower be the subject.

Hey guys, I appreciate your viewing and comments. Yesterday gave me an opportunity to try out my new tripod and head. I want to get some more practice before spring. Last summer while visiting an aunt, I took some photos of the flowers in her yard. At the time it was hot, middle of the day, no tripod and the mosquitos were horrible. Though she like the photos, I told her I would come back in the spring better prepared.

The yellows really pop in the first two images. Nice work, David.

After considering the comments, I thought perhaps the pink flower needed some post processing. So I recropped it, lightened up some of the dark center areas and tried to blur the background just a bit.

So is the photo more appealing, less or just not really an attractive flower. Or maybe still too dark? Too much fill light? Or any other comment.
