Zoo trip - 02-27-2011, 01:13 AM

Took the girls to the Houston zoo today....crazy thing to do on a Saturday... place was crazy busy.. but we had fun. Shot with D700.... 80-200 for anything outside of the reptiles... Sigma 105 macro for the inside reptile stuff...

I got a ton of great photos....in my opinion... thought I'd share a few:

These things are moles... they were newborns....shot through glass...

He had such character in his face...

The above guys room mate..

This little guy liked to pose.... quite seriously...

When I took a photo of something else in the tank... he jumped down...and looked at me again...

This one was born on Jan 18th....brand new baby...

Meerkats were a must see for Sarah...

Huge new giraffe exhibit on the Ben Taub side of the zoo...

These were the last guys we saw before we were leaving...

Terrific images, Donna. You almost seemed to have captured their personality (if they have those), especially the frogs.

Yes, very well done! I think FW has a new reptile house. Need to get there soon.
