Critique: NC:

Got up Tuesday morning with the intent to head down to BBSP for the morning...but when I walked outside and noticed the wind, changed my mind and decided to head to my stakeout site and try to get my first photos of a Kingfisher...to make a long story short, I blew my chance at the Kingfisher photos...I had forgotten to get my tripod off my backyard deck...so I was having to shoot handheld...as luck would have it, I had just lower my camera when out of nowhere the Kingfisher appeared on the perch I was staking out...a perfect pose with great lighting...slowly trying to raise my camera into shooting position I was just getting ready to look through the viewfinder when the bird spooked and took off...never saw him again...so I got up and started to walk the trails...there was very little bird action due to the windy conditions...so I decided to try my luck at shooting some wildflowers...only had my 100-400 zoom lens with me...not an expert on flower IDs...hope you enjoy them...C/C always welcomed...

I enjoyed this post very much! I'm not any good on the names just yet. Indian paintbrush, primrose, dew berry, is about all I know. I do know that violet in the 1st and second puts off a very pleasant smell.

Jim, not sure that the last one would be consdered a wildflower...there was a gazebo along this trail and they had these planted around it...I'm just a sucker for yellow flowers...
