Ron - very nice start with your outdoor studio you have captured some very nice images so far. You may want to look closely at Alan Murphy's blog. He uses smaller perches that you may want to consider.

This is a very picky detail, if you can you may want to move the background a bit further away from the perches so they fall more out of focus - that will take your images amazing.
