Green Tree Frogs in North Texas - 04-04-2011, 09:35 AM

Critique: CC:

Looks like it may be a good spring for amphibians in North Texas.....this is the third green tree frog that I've returned to the woods behind our house after he ventured on to our patio.

In the past, I've been lucky to get one or two of these visitors a season and to have three in a week tells me that they are plentiful this year.

Anyone else in North Texas seeing these in larger numbers than in the past?

C&C always appreciated.

Great shot! Just out of curiosity, why do you move them off your porch?

We have cats and we didn't want the cats to torment the little guy....which they would if given the chance.

I have never seen them in the Dallas area - maybe they are slowly moving this way.
