Red Shouldered Hawk Profile - S.W Florida

This guy posed for me for a while last month. One of the very first images with the 800mm.

Hope you like it.

Canon 7D, Canon 800mm @ f/5.6, 1/500 sec, ISO 200, Manual exposure, Car as a blind.

Thanks!

Did you photoshop out the background details? A bit too sterile, unnatural. Your subject is terrifically sharp, though. One of my favorite local birds.

Nothing was done to the GB. What makes you think is un-natural? The dry grass is simply far away from the subject and using f/5.6 with the 800mm, blurs the BG a lot more.

Thanks!

It seems that you are above the bird, looking down. How did you accomplish this?

I like the clarity and color of the eye.
