Nice shot with a Canon 40D, what lens did you use to shoot @ 400mm(the Prime)?

Yes. 400f5.6L. All my bird shots that I have posted here before have also been shot with this lens.

wow - amazingly crisp. i love the background faded into nothingness. the rabbit holed up in my front shrubs won't stay around long enough for me to capture him. what aperture did you use?

Avatar is me exiting Wakulla Springs after a 50 minute ride at 280'. Photo shot at 120' during decompression by Steve Auer - a phenomenal underwater cave photographer.

The toothpick one is at f/5.6 to make sure FG blur is even. The other two are at f/6.3. all at ISO 640.

Thanks a lot.

So very cute! That first one especially. I think the foreground grass cover really adds to the shots!

Nice "mug shot" of the culprit that has been eating my front yard flowers (before they bloom!).
