I had to look it up. Yeah, I know where Junction is. It's real nice out that way. Have you seen any of those wild fires? Or are they more North of you? Nice variety of shots!

Sandy, there were fires around San Angelo for a couple of weeks that burned over 150,000 acres. I didn't get close enough to see the fire, but we had plenty of smoke in the air. The main problem was the wind - 25 to 30 with gusts to 40 most days. I think they are mostly contained now.

The picture of the black headed yellow bird is probably a Scott's Oriole instead of Audubon's. I didn't get a good look at him.

Beautiful birds Bill. Were you in the green hut on the left as you enter the park? We were there a month ago and saw a few things but nothing to this caliber.
That is a really cool park, we loved it.

Fred, I try to hit several of the blinds when I go. I've seen a lot of photographers there lately; maybe I saw you.
The park is one of the best sites I know of for variety of birds.

Wonderful images, Bill. I have not been to SLRSP in years. Apparently, there have been some blinds and feeders added since I was there.
Did all of these birds come to feeders, and if so, what kind of seed attracted them?
There are a four of them that I have never seen.
Thanks for posting.

All were taken from blinds (there are 4). I don't know what kind of seed (except for sunflower) they put out, but some of these birds probably only came for the water.
The Lazuli Bunting and Scott's Oriole were first time for me. All the others are fairly common there through the summer.
