Great series with a nice variety of subjects...the egrets are really fun to watch fishing in the shallow waters...like the Scissortail....hmmmmnnn wonder if they are nesting in the same tree again this year...and a very nice sunset to complete the series...great job Sandy...

Nope I looked...But I'll let you know if I see that one again. But there is a nest at
Quintana 's Bird Sanctuary this year.

Sandy; you certainly made the rounds! Great series, even managed a Caspian Tern, and it appears the semi-palmated sandpipers have finally showed up. I imagine all that remains at Bryan Beach is the lagoon, and it must be shrinking fast! I'm assuming thats where you got the reddish egrets.
Shovelers must be at BNWR? Its getting awfully dry there as well. In any case I'm sure I'll see you out and about in the not too distant future. regards~Bill

Thanks, Bill. I got the reddish egrets at the end of Bodecker Drive in Galveston close to the Free parking area. There is that one inlet that has a bunch of fish that they come to check out. Still learning my Terns and Sandpipers but I do know the Caspian Tern was a good find. I thought my Sandpipers were called Stilt Sandpipers? I'll have to look again. Hmmm
