I went there on Saturday but shot all day handheld with my IS off ??? Had 1 or 2 good!  So went back this morning and checked my camera before shooting? I couldn't find my Prothonitary--      Canon 7D 500mm F4L IS 1.4TC --------------------------- Canon 50D, Canon 7D 300 f4L IS, 28-105 f3.5-4.5 II USM 500 F4L IS USM, EF1.4X Extender and other Canon stuf |

Love the anhinga and water snake. I actually went down to High Island and Brazos Bend in March but forgot my Wimberly Head for my 500mm so I shot handheld the whole time. I had my dern tripod but no gimbal head. We have all been there and done that. Don't feel badly. |
