Just a baby. - 07-30-2011, 11:28 AM

Critique: NC:

I was getting ready to head for the house after a nice morning of shooting at Brazos Bend SP when I spotted a baby anole (about 3 inches long) on a plant by the path going out of the prairie area...well I had to try to get a few photos and this is one that I liked. I tried to manual focus but ended up using the AF on this guy...it wouldn't stop for more than a few seconds at a time while hunting.

Tamron 180 mm F/5.6 @ 1/90 second ISO 200 on a tripod in natural light.

Beautiful Jim. I like the narrow DOF and the background is perfect. The vine on the branch adds to the image also. Well done.

I also like the narrow DOF on the little guy. It's especially a great shot since you took it with no flash and it didn't want to stop moving! Well done as usual!

Thanks Beth! I don't own a flash and have always loved working in natural light...I miss a few shots but still get a few too.
