A rock and a cactus - 07-31-2011, 05:22 PM

Critique: NC:

I just got back from a week in Tuscon. One of the things I did, besides eat, was take a 5 miler out into the desert by myself. I kept noticing these small deformities on many of the saguaro cactus. I finally got close enough to one to see what those were. They were rocks, kicked up by the desert winds, embedded in the cacti! This one is about the size of my thumb and looked like a pretty fresh strike. This reminded my of the force of desert winds. I thought it was interesting anyway!!
