I shot these a little over a week ago at a local pond here in Austin. These were taken fairly early in the morning, before the heat got ramped up. The first is a Yellow-crowned Night Heron, followed by two young Green Herons learning to fish on their own, and a shot of momma Green Heron overseeing the confused little ones. Grady, Thank you for the comments! The pond does have public access. It is located in an Austin City Park called "Northwest Park" -- located in north central Austin. All nice shots. I like taking pics of just about anything. I hope my camera comes in tomorrow. Im anxious to get started on learning about photography and taking great photos. Loved taking pics since i was a small girl. |

David, Thanks for the comment. They are really cute little guys. It was fun to watch mom show up with a nice fish she had caught -- the little ones would chase her all over the place, since their catch was pretty slim.
