I've read this whole thread, and I do agree with most of the comments so far. The one comment I'll make about this specific photo is this :

I want to see more detail on the yellow jacket. I think the insect is lost in the frame, and is clearly the focal point. In other words, I feel like the subject (the insect) does not occupy enough space in the frame - there is a lot of negative space that confuses the brain. This is only my opinion though.

The macro discussion that has taken place in the posts above me will work towards that goal, I think. Keep up the effort though!
