I went out the check my water meter and these guys had sprung up. I don't have much of a green thumb.. anyone know what they're called?

They are pretty! They look like spider lilies, but I've only seen white ones. Yep, I just googled red spider lily and got this ...

Edit: I meant to say that I like the way you framed that first one with the radial lines - very cool.

Definately Red Spider Lilies. They bloom in the fall. Lilies don't require a green thumb. In fact, I've got Day Lilies in my yard I've been trying to eradicate for years! Tough to get rid of, unless you like them, of course.
