So I have a nice camera and trying to learn how to actually use it outside of the "point and shoot" setting. Here are some of my first attempts. (There is almost no retouching either....that's next on my things to learn.)

Oh, and I do want critiques. Didn't see the option of where to pick the CC or NC the first time.

Krista - in your flickr attempt, the src=http... the http portion up to the .jpg is what you want to put in between [img]

Both shots with flowers are very nice. 2 is my favorite because of the background.
