kendra

yours do look a bit soft, but hey, thats 2 more moon shots than i've taken in a few years.

here is my advice for the moon
1. use a tripod
2. use mirror lock up
3. use your best iso usually 100
4. use your sharpest lens aperture, usually 2 stops down from wide open
5. use your histogram to expose

Tony, great 2nd shot.

Kendra, I just posted a reply to another member who posted some moon shots. Have you ever though about finding an Astronomy Club? Most clubs have big telescopes that members can use. All you have to do is purchase a very inexpensive adapter that will mount your camera to the telescope. Also, yearly memberships to Astronomy Clubs is very reasonable. If the club does not have telescopes for members, the members themselves would be happy to let you take some quick shots through their scopes. I have been into amature astronomy since 93 and everywhere I live and club I was in would be glad to help. : )
