Beautiful images, Bill. Love the Caracara, Green Jay, and the Buck in image #8. Well shot.

Thanks guys for your kind remarks. Some of the deer images were taken in very low light.
I had corn in the back of my truck and at one time had 12 green jays in the bed of my truck.
South Texas is a mecca for wildlife photography.

Wow. Nice series Bill.

I have a friend that's on a lease down in Zapata. He and I were talking the other day and he said that the ranch foreman told him the fawn mortality rate, due to drought, was possibly as high as 70%.

Wow what a trip Bill...very nice series of photos...trying to picture what #8 would look like with just a neck and head photo mounted and framed with an oval matting...I really need to make a trip down to the South Texas area...

Wow!!! I opened the thread hoping for some great looking bucks and you did not disappoint. The neck on the deer in the first shot is unbelievable. Heck, they are all unbelievable. But, you did great on the other critters too! All beautiful shots. Can't pick a favorite.

Patti
