Aransas NWR Photo Club

I popped down to Aransas NWR to meet up with John Noll and a few other members of the Aransas NWR photo club. Pretty nice bunch. The mix of photographers was from just starting to very accomplished.

The club's purpose is to promote one of the uses of the NWR, which is photography. If your interested, membership is free, and you can sign up here

FAMI also had their annual luncheon. I wasn't a member so I skipped that and opted for a quick run through the NWR while I waited for the photo club meeting to start.

The topic was landscape photography. After the meeting we took a quick stroll through part of the refuge to shoot landscapes... or at least try to. It wasn't exactly the best weather for it so what I've attached below is about as good I could get.

I like the natural looking road.

I really wanted to go to this meeting. I've been a "member" for a while now, but never made an event.

When I saw the forecast of rain and 40 mph gusts, I chickened out. Looking at all your shots, I guess I made the wrong call.
