I've been seeing this bird at work for about 6 months and finally dusted off my old K1000 35mm to catch him. Keep in mind, this is really old equipment and a rusty photographer lol. The original pics were bad enough that I found a free program to touch them up. It excitied me enough to get a DSLR later this week. Thanks bird.

Congrats on the new camera coming.
Interestingly enought, I kinda like the second one. Cool color patterns going on there.

Agree. Number #2 is super grainy but really interesting. What speed was your film, and was it old film or did you buy it recently?

the film was 400. It was new film. Who knows how long it sat in the store though ;) With the long lens, early morning sun in the background and overcast sky, it really turned out better than i thought although i had super low expectations. But thats how i always saw the bird. Just a shape more than anything on that line every morning. And as far as bird shapes go, i love the kingfisher's hairstyle. The last 2 pictures were taken later that day on my way home, thats why the light is the other direction. All were taken from next to my car.
