This is one of the larger bucks on our property this year, about a 120 class 9 point, and unfortunately this was the only shot I managed to get of him as he came out close to dark, and my only long glass is the 70-300 non VR Nikon cheapo lens, however I do really care for the way it turned out with the repetition of patterns in the background and foreground:

Thats a unique looking photo. I really like it. Id much rather shoot a dear than shoot a dear. Thats just my opinion...

I have been leaning towards that same direction since I started getting more into photography. Grew up hunting my entire life, took my first buck at 7 yrs old, now 17 years later I am just as content to sit there and just watch em, plus cleanin em is a pain in the ass!
