A couple of Sanderlings

This poor little guy lost a leg -- good thing the Monterey Bay Aquarium found him and now protects it.

I really like the first photo of the Sanderling - nice and sharp.

I am thinking that the second photo are actually phalaropes, likely Red-necked Phalaropes in basic plumage - the longer thinner bill and the dark patches on the eyes are the indicators that I am looking at to suggest the alternate ID.

Nice shots. I have seen more one legget birds this year. Always wonder how it happens. Look at my aviator.

Not sure what birds in photo 2, but I like it. Almost always like shots with good reflections.
Nice shots.

Thank you everyone. Scott, you may correct on the bird ID - I am no bird specialist (although I have been accused of being a bird brain).
