That last one is a killer!!!!!!! A friend of mine taught me when cropping a photo always give room to the right or left of the bird. You don't want the bird to be looking into the wall of the photo's edge or directly in the middle of your photo. I try to remember that too when I take the shot. Hope this helps. And I'm only trying to help. :)

What a catch on the last one! Agree with Sandy. Even though rules can be broken (and I do it) I always think of the Rule of Thirds when cropping a picture. It can really enhance a photo's appeal and you have some great subjects. I would be smiling to get around these with the D700. :-)
