Ending The Year With A Good Birding Day - 12-31-2011, 12:10 PM

Critique: NC:

Got my truck inspected and my errands done yesterday morning. Then work gave me the day off to my surprise.
Grabbed my camera and went to Texas City Dike, Bay Street Park, and lastly COM pond.

The last two were from last week.

Happy New Year!

Everyone be safe.

Sandy

Nice series of images from the Dike. I just never get around to walking around in the park, I must put that on my to do list for the New Year!

I think I saw you photographing the Horned Grebes that day - I was just birding and not photographing that day. It was amazing to see about 200 grebes feeding. There was also a few Eared Grebes as well, but they were hard to see in the large group.

Nice series Sandy...my favs are #2 & #16...plus always enjoy a nice Sunrise photo...I spent Thursday morning on the Dike...beautiful morning with no wind and water smooth as glass...could actually see change in water color in the bay...shot two full cards...still trying to wade through them...
