Last day of 2011- Sparrows

Not sure what kind of sparrows...

2,3 & 4 look like song sparrows. The others could be also, but the color is a bit different. Nice shots.

Thanks. I was thinking Savannah for the middle three. They aren't red enough to be Song Sparrows but then again... they don't exactly look like the Savannah Sparrows in Sibleys.

The middle three look like the Savannah Sparrows on Birds of North America...

Sparrows are tough to id sometimes... like every time I try...

No clue on the bookends

Sparrows are hard to photograph and to ID and you did a good job on them. I'm thinking that all of them are Savannah Sparrows, but as I said sparrows are challenging.

Thanks Scott. They sure don't like to sit still. These did but it's not the norm.

The "bookends" (first and last) are Savannah Sparrows too. I took a little blue cast out of the images by lowering the saturation of the blue channel and doing so changed the color of the yellow stripe on its head
