Bosque Peregrine Post! - 01-04-2012, 05:17 PM

Critique: NC:

Enjoyed some Peregrine activity on the last day west of Bosque del Apache.
A falconer from the area gave us demo of the Peregrine's hunting abilities!
He also had a Harris Hawk to demo, which I will post later.

Thks Michael!! I was using the 300/2.8LIS !
This was a trained hunting peregrine & the falconer gave us a demo that day. So I was able to get as close as 10 yards sometimes before he would get spooked. It was thrillig to see what that bird could do speed wise.

Wow, #1 and #2 are awesome shots. And the gore covered face is gross and amazing all at the same time :)

Thks Audrey-unfortunately the nature food chain gets a bit gory at times.

Thks Sheri - yeah, we were really lucky to get this demo from the local falconers. It is amazing to see them hunt in the wide open like that.

I'm fine with it as long as I'm not part of that chain
