Nice Ron, I like the last one best. Like how the head is turned with the curvature of the limb.

Nice Ron, we have 6 Mesquites in our yard, I hate them things. I can just get within 4 feet of them and my hands starts bleeding . I threaten to cut them down every spring when I have to trim them

Mesquite is great on the BBQ pit! And it makes good for some very nice photos.
I've thought about going to this Nature Center a million times. Does it cost to get in? How do you like it?

Thanks Sandy for viewing and your comments...agree that mesquite does make for some nice photos especially with the thorns showing...Clear Creek Nature Center is free...this was my second time to visit...the center is well kept and the main trail is a cement sidewalk...little over a mile long...there are several sidetrails leading off that take you to what are suppose to be blinds...in my opinion it is just wasted wood...at the first blind there are some more trails that lead off into the grassy areas and that is where I took these photos...the sidetrails lead you to views of Clear Creek but very long shots at any birds on the water...I didn't have many photo opportunities either trip although these photos made the second trip worth the time...both times I visited in the afternoon so maybe early morning or late afternoon might be better...also this may be a good spot to visit during spring migration...

Hey Ron, when I was stationed at Ft. Hood we had a creek named Clear Creek running through post, is this the same? : )

Thanks James for viewing and your comment...this Clear Creek is not the same as the one at Ft. Hood...looking at map, it appears that the origin of this Clear Creek begins somewhere just off Beltway 8 and Almeda Road...not sure how it got the name Clear Creek...no way that it is clear...
