Lighting Lighting - 01-10-2012, 05:37 PM

Critique: NC:

We talk about lighting from time to time. Here is a little difference in these two pictures. The first one the sun was still hiding - 1/250 ISO 400 f/4 and the second one some light starting to get better - 1/800 ISO 250 f/4.

I like the warm tone of the first image. I do almost all of my work at sunrise to about 9:00 am... after that I go hunt in the shade and of course I use a tripod and pray the wind will not blow and I find a subject that will pose for me a few minutes.

Do you use Auto ISO? I like both but if I had to pick one #2 for sharper on the beak. Better light better sharpness.

Like both, but the warmer tone seem a bit better to my eyes. But early and late light are my favorite times, and the first one has that type of color.

I like the 2nd one for the better clarity & the truer colors of the bird! Good work.

Thanks Sandy, I don't use auto iso. I adjust to the light trying to get the shutter speed up. I am getting better at not for getting.
