Great example of how beautiful an image in silhouette can be, like the BG color in this..
Centered comp works fine here IMO.

I like that, just wondering, why did you frame the bird in the middle, instead of the 1/3 rule? I like it just wondering why you did.

More aesthetics than anything. It just seemed to work better than other crops that I tried, some of which were ROT crops.

Ok, I do the same from time to time and it never fails someone will say "remember the rule of thirds" LOL. I do what feels good to me also.

I put my hand on the left side and I think it would have looked alright cropped off.
I'm not really suggesting...Just thinking and speaking my mind. It really is a nice silhouette.

The image isn't really about the hawk but rather about the scene, the feel of a winter day ending and a night beginning. It's one of those in which every element is part of the story as it were: the bare branches, the sunset, the lone hawk. That's why I chose to break the "rules." :-)
