My "quick-guide" shows a picture very similar to a GCF, however, my more exhaustive field guide shows more like an Eastern Phoebe. I'll go with the latter. Thanks for the correction, Chris.

I have a hard time with all the field guide and on-line IDs. So many times, at least to me, the birds I find look different than the ones I find in the guides. About the only ones I know for sure are robins, blue-jays, and cardinals. :)

Yes, and there are variations within species. It takes a well trained eye to make an accurate identification.
