Another cardinal from South Llano River. 40D with 400 f5.6
Always a splash of color on the dingiest days, but I can't stand to look at them when they are molting.
The saturation is toned down here intentionally. What do you think?

I like it. He is still a great color against the mild green and the tree. I think the mild desat works well. I used to see these guys all the time in Illinois in my grandparents yard, but I rarely had a camera back then.
