Baytown Eagle - 01-29-2012, 07:42 PM

Critique: NC:

My knees and back were hurting from playing tackle football with my 6 year old grandson so I told him I needed to run an errand. Headed over to the Baytown eagles and it was good. First of all, the main nest seems to have given way underneath. One of the eagles flew in low and to the right. There was all kinds of sqawking and shortly after one flew out. It headed to the golf course. There was a little girl with her father playing golf. She saw the eagle as it was trying to come down to the water. She ran towards as it made about three loops. It didn't like it soooo it came back to the original perch. After a few minutes the coast was clear and it went back to the golf course lake. Then came back to the perch for a while. It then took off and landed on a perch close to what I think is the new nest area. They have to be setting on some eggs the way they traded watches. Good shots landing and take offs twice......I want to thank that little girl! Still need to look at the rest of the shots, but I am smiling.

Excellent capture with the wings spread and talons out, reaching for the perch.

Great shot David. It's too bad about the old nest. I've been by there a couple of times since they moved, but couldn't spend enough time to get any shots. Been missing the eagle pics this year. Thanks for posting.

That's one of the best Eagle shots that I've seen. Especially since it's a Texas Eagle
