Critique: NC:

This is a first for me. It was taken at San Angelo State Park in pretty harsh light. Their range is usually further west . Canon 40D with 400 f5.6L

Very nice capture, particularly in light of the lighting being suboptimal.

There has been an influx of Green-taileds into the eastern part of the state this winter.

I've heard of a few reports of sightings of these where they normally don't appear, as Chris mentioned. Nice catch of a fairly rare bird.

Nice capture on this one Bill...never seen one also...there was one sighted late last year at El Franco Lee Park but I never saw it...
