Smile Thanks - 02-03-2012, 01:56 PM

Thanks for the comments. I've been experimenting with a number of manual-focus, prime lenses lately. Here's a growing favorite: the Pentax Super Takumar 135mm f3.5

My cats on the back patio make good, available test subjects. This is Tooter after his bath:

Manual focus is fun. I really enjoy my Zeiss 50 on the street.

The Takumar 135/3.5 is a good lens. A little undersaturated perhaps, but quite film-like. There is a tactile satisfaction to using well-made manual lenses.
