This is the kind I saw last weekend. Stayed for a long time feeding on the ground. They would hop up on a branch for a photo op but, no camera. Very pretty bird. |

Nice photo David...still trying to get photo of this bird...should have looked for one yesterday...was up in your neighborhood Wednesday and Thursday to attend a funeral...one of my Brother-in-laws Father passed away...his father also lived in Elkins Lake and my Brother-in-law's brother also lives just on the edge of Elkins Lake subdivision...has a hugh home on about 50 acres...
