My wife's brother had told me about some eagles near Shreveport just about a quarter mile from his home and every time I drove by it, there were not in the nest.

One was home last Saturday. Unfortunately, I did not have my Tamron 200-500 with me. Just the 18-250. The A77 gives you a little wiggle room for cropping though. I got fairly proficient at spotting that white head against a green background during my two years in Alaska.
