How about a little post what you've got thread? Duck Wednesday! Show me those ducks! Any duck, and if you don't have ducks how about any water related item? A few from me: Black-bellied Whistling ducks 1/1250s f/8.0 at 500.0mm iso400  Northern Shoveler Female 1/1000s f/7.1 at 400.0mm iso400  Show me those ducks!  --------------------------- Photography Yellowstone Experiences "A good photograph is knowing where to stand." Sounds like fun. I'll play! Here are some of mine... The first two were shot at the Houston Zoo (cheating?) and the last one was at a pond at Magnolia Creek golf course. Golf courses are great places for animal photos. Hooded Merganser  Redhead  This one of the blue-winged teals was out of focus so I photoshopped it.  Patti |

Those are really beautiful pictures you guys/girls have posted. Love them all. I shot these at Barton Spring pool in Austin with Bigma. Uncropped. #1 - Gadwall posing #2 - Scaup imitating the previous gadwall pose  #3 - Gadwall swam by. #4 - Same Scaup imitating the gadwall AGAIN. LOL! |

I luv waterfowl!!! Very late evening when i spot this, couldn't have done it without IS, 100-400L. i decided not to have lowest angle so to get few more in the back.  Same family in later time......  Mute swan again in very late evening after sunset, you don't need IS with F1.4 Iso 1600, 1/160s,F1.4.  my cheating one at the zoo with FF.  Lesser Scaup at white rock lake, 400mm 5.6 with kenko extension, AI servo  canada attack, incoming at very close range 135L,Iso 100, 1/2000s, F5.0, one shot AF  |

Awesome people! Patti, great shots really like the doo on the hooded merganser! the redhead is sexy and love the photoshop image. I can use a technique for out of focus shots I've got a million! snidow, when you get a chance that would be great! CReb, love the sychronized swimming in Barton Springs! Beautiful image quality! Great subjects. Gunther, lovely composition and sexy subject! Beautiful image there, love those wood ducks. Roy, good job of getting your ducks in a row! Love the whistlers! The wood duck is awesome and the mutant is scary. Daniel, wonderful collection here! The kids are alright! Need to give us a cuteness alert before posting those! Love the pose and the water dripping off the swan. The next two are great poses and the goose shot is killer. Perfection there. Thanks everyone for participating in Duck Wednesday! Sure Jim, pull out the "A" stuff.  Great collection here, hard to pick a fav. I don't even know what a few of these are.... Wonderful image quality. Love the BBWD in the tree. Bruce, i seen one of those at white rock lake but didn't have the kodak moment and i believe they look the same, even the color. I have problem id those, anyone know what kinda of duck it's? |
