Great Blue Heron climbing and hanging out in a tree. Kind of boney legs for tree manuvering but he had no problem.

Yeah, they just don't look like they belong in trees :-). Great shots! I really like the composition of the second, though they do look kind of funny when they get that neck stuck way out.

I've seen them do that but never got a good shot anywhere near as good as this one. They sure look out of place doing that. Nice capture on your part.

Thanks everyone. The second one is actually not due to the wind. It was very calm that day. He was ruffling his feathers when another heron went flying by. Not sure if it was a defense mechanism or a hey look at me look.
