Once again, outstanding work with a lot of "cuteness" thrown in! Thanks for the informative photo postings. It's enlightening and beneficial to see what your settings were.

Definitely WAY off the cuteness scale!
But it also helps that everything is perfect on each image.

Damn, all of a sudden I need a 600mm lens!
These are great. I like #2 the best, no real reason, just do.

Could you share a little info about the support ssystem you use to get these low angle shots? What are you putting the camera/lens on?
Very nice images. | | | |

Well, I see I need to hit RRMP again this weekend :-)
Very nice! I too like the fifth one best, mostly due to the raised feet.

Thanks gangs. I'm determined to get a full portrait shot of the dude on the green one day. Mom doesn't trust that cute little thing with Chinese very much. See...Duck and Chino don't get along very well..... LOL, but i am working on it. :)
This one is from last year, somewhere July. They weren't that cute anymore but mom wasn't not that defensive when they grown up. Shoot with 135mm

| Just bare lens with bean bag, i place lens very close to edge of the pond (man made pond), one mistake...it's going down for a swim. It's not as low as l wish due to the high, Water level probably 1' from water level. If this was in the wild on marsh or somewhere nasty, i use tripod fold flat on ground level with Wimberley full head. | | | |

Steve & Tim,
I don't have the 600. Those were shot with 500... I just can't bare the weight...my fully equiped 500mm is ~15lb, it's oready beyond my limitation for a short hike. I used to think extra 3lb won't hurt much on 500 + monopod but recent upgrades on support system made 600mm nearly impossible for a fat and small guy....LOL

| That call for cuteness contest!....LOL. Get them quick before they grow... I like ya muscovy chic better, they are pure light yellow. Looks good on dark/blue background. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
