My Houston Zoo Trip - 02-21-2007, 09:31 PM

I rented a 300 2.8 for some sports this past weekend and decided to finally take advantage of it and go shoot me some animals at the zoo. It took me over 30 minutes to park and people were mean, cutting in and stealing spots. Fortunately I got a couple good shots so it was almost worth it. Critiques and comments are very welcome; this is my first time shooting big caged animals.

Very nice photos indeed....and yes, I know exactly what you mean about parking there, it's the same way at the Museum of Natural Science unfortunately

Thanks everyone for the comments. The 300 2.8 is a great lens but very dangerous... Every time I rent it I end up wanting to buy one!!!

Lighttec Houston (and I'm assuming Dallas) rent the lens for a weekend for an extremely reasonable price, so if you're ever in either area I say pick it up and go play!
