I am going to day it again, I think it is over saturated.

Look at the histogram, I think you will find it is clipped on the right side.

So just for the heck of it, try this.

Desaturated it just a little and then go check the levels, bring the right side up to where it is just not clipped and then adjust the contrast and brightness up a little. I think you could do it all with curves but I just can not get the hang of curves.
I think you will see more detail in the image.

Again it is just a personal thing more then anything.
