Yet another Heron but in motion - 06-05-2005, 10:20 PM






Took couple months ago at Grapevine lake during the cold front weekend, 25-30 mph at 40c and i got sick the next day. LOL, I stayed at least 4 hours around the lake area waiting for them blue and white. Lake reflection shot was totally out of question....

They are both fantastic, but that first one is my favorite.. and probably one of the best in flight heron pics I've seen..

Thanks for the kind words. I have 3 burst shot on that flight. 2 out of 3 is quite a victory, the AI Servo seemed to kick in just fine. Work best on 2nd shoot and and up........

These are fantastic pictures; I'm glad I found this post. I agree with Brad -- some of the finest posted so far. That first one looks like one of those jets landing at old Carswell AFB. :)
