My plan was to sell my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and then buy the Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS.
I haven't sold the Sigma yet, but I pulled the trigger this morning at Ft. Worth Camera and bought the new L glass. By the way, their price is VERY competitive (sp?) (fair).
So now, the Sigma goes up on E-bay and here are some first shots with the new lens from the best Zoo in Texas. I tried to put the lens through it paces with difficult focusing, high contrast, fast motion, etc.

Very nice, Tom. That's a winner of a lens in the right hands. I'd really like to upgrade to it eventually.

BYarger -- great to run into you. I like your stuff from yesterday. Blue frog is my favorite.
As with any new lens, my concern is with proper focusing, and sharpness.
I am happy so far.

Tom, congratulation on the lens. So I'm guessing you'll want to go back to Lone Star Park and shoot with that thing? | | | |

Great shots, wish I could grab one of these, in due time I reckon. The parakeet's look great, nice contrast. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
