Wow. The DoF in the first shot is really really unusal and striking. I can't say for 100% certainty that I like it, but it really REALLY catches my eye and I keep going back and looking at it again. It's very impacting.

I love the composition in the second pic, it toally says "snake" with every detail in the frame.

Well done!

I like the first one because the green snake looks like it is materializing out of the green background... excellent shots

i agree - wow! i especially love the first one. the dof makes it very eye catching. the colors are outstanding and the green and orange contrast is wonderful. great job.

Love the shots and the snake. Roughs are hard to find around my town so to see them even in photos is rock awsome. I totaly dig the first one. Excellent

Neat shots, Greg. I think one, maybe one and a half stops further closed on the first shot and it would have been perfect. Would've sharpened up the head and tongue and everything else would have stayed in never-never land. Well done regardless.
